We express and use number through words, gestures, pictures, written symbols, arithmetic notations, and physical calculators like the abacus. Where does our knowledge of numbers come from? In this worldwide study of early numeracy, we're asking how children learn to discriminate quantities and learn number words. The appointment will take ~1 hour in which your child will play some counting and memory games with one of our researchers.
